AGNIPATH – AGNIVEERS
Agnipath scheme is A tour of duty approved by the Govt of India on 14 June 2022, for recruitment of soldiers below the rank of commissioned officers into the three services of the Armed Forces. All recruits will be hired only for a four year period. Personnel recruited under the system will be called Agniveers. The scheme will empower, discipline and skill the youth with military ethos in civil society but also improve battle preparedness suited to the changing dynamics. At the end of four years, volunteers can opt for permanent cadre. 25% of the Agniveers will be recruited as permanent cadres.

- Yearly Pay Package – 4.75 Lakhs in 1st Year to 6.92 Lakhs in 4th year
- Risk and hardship allowances as applicable
- On completion of 4 years approx 11.7 Lakhs will be taken home
- 30% monthly emoluments to be contributed by Agniveers and Govt to contribute an equal amount.

Education Qualification
1. General Duty (GD) (All Arms). Class 10th /Matric with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject. For boards following a grading system of D grade (33% – 40%) in individual subjects or equivalent of grade which contains 33% and overall aggregate in C2 grade or equivalent corresponding to 45% in aggregate.
2. Technical (All Arms). 10 + 2 /Intermediate Exam Passed in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with min 50% marks in aggregate and 40% in each subject.
3. Technical (Aviation Ammunition Examiner). 10 + 2 /Intermediate Exam passed from any recognized State Educational Board or Central Educational Board to include NIOS and ITI course of minimum one year in required field with NSOF level 4 or above.
4. Clerk / Store Keeper (Technical) (All Arms). 10 + 2 /Intermediate Exam passed in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with 60% marks in aggregate and minimum 50% in each subject. Securing 50% in English and Maths/Accounts/Book Keeping in Class XII is mandatory.
5. Tradesmen (All Arms) (10th Pass).
(a) Class 10th simple pass
(b) No stipulation in aggregate percentage, but should have scored 33% in each subject.
Education Qualification
1. The Selection process of Agniveer in Navy will include three stages: –
a) Shortlisting (Computer based online examination)
b) Written Examination
c) Physical Fitness Test and Initial Medical
d) Final Recruitment Medical Examination
2. Education Qualification
Indian Navy Agniveer (SSR). Qualification in 10 + 2 examination with Maths & Physics and at least one of this subject: – Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science from the Board of School Education recognized by the Ministry of Education, Govt of India.
Indian Navy Agniveer (MR). Candidates must have passed the Matriculation Examination from the Boards of School Education recognized by the Ministry of Education, Govt of India.
Education Qualification
1. Candidates should have passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent examination with Maths, Physics and English from an Education Board listed as COBSE member with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
OR
Passed three years Diploma course in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile/ Computer Science/ Instrumentation Technology/ Information Technology) from a Government recognized Polytechnic institute with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in diploma course (or in Intermediate/ Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Diploma Course).
OR
Passed Two years Vocational Course with non-vocational subject viz. Physics and Maths from state Education Boards/Councils which are listed in COBSE with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in vocational courses ( or in Intermediate Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Vocational course).
2. Other than science subject: Passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent Exam in any subject approved by Central / State Boards listed as COBSE with minimum 50% marks aggregate and 50% marks in English.
OR
Passed two years vocational course from Education Boards listed as COBSE member with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in vocational course or in Intermediated/Matriculation if English is not a subject in Vocational course.
Agniveer Training
1. Three Months Training Program
2. Six Months Training Program
3. Twelve Months Training Program
Note : Periodic review of physical test will be done till an Agniveer passes the test (no charges will taken for review)
