AGNIPATH – AGNIVEERS

Agnipath scheme is A tour of duty approved by the Govt of India on 14 June 2022, for recruitment of soldiers below the rank of commissioned officers into the three services of the Armed Forces. All recruits will be hired only for a four year period. Personnel recruited under the system will be called Agniveers. The scheme will empower, discipline and skill the youth with military ethos in civil society but also improve battle preparedness suited to the changing dynamics. At the end of four years, volunteers can opt for permanent cadre. 25% of the Agniveers will be recruited as permanent cadres.

Terms & Conditions

  • Age - 17.5 to 21 Years
  • Education - 10th /12th Pass
  • Open to both Boys and Girls
  • Enrolment Eligibility
  • Medical and Physical fitness standards as per norms
  • Must clear written test
  • Physical Measurement Test
  • Pay and Allowances
  • Yearly Pay Package – 4.75 Lakhs in 1st Year to 6.92 Lakhs in 4th year
  • Risk and hardship allowances as applicable
  • On completion of 4 years approx 11.7 Lakhs will be taken home
  • 30% monthly emoluments to be contributed by Agniveers and Govt to contribute an equal amount.
  • Income Tax Exempt.
  • On death.
  • Insurance cover non contributory
  • More than 1 Crore
  • Full pay of the unserved period
  • On Disability
  • Upto 44 Lakhs based on percentage of disability
  • Full pay of the unserved period

Agniveer Training

1. Three Months Training Program
2. Six Months Training Program
3. Twelve Months Training Program

Note : Periodic review of physical test will be done till an Agniveer passes the test (no charges will taken for review)
